Wordy Wednesday: It All Started With a Mouse

Hey there! How’s it going! There are so many iconic things we think of when we think of Disney, but one of my favorites is the big guy himself, Mickey Mouse. With Disney being a world-wide phenomena, sometimes it’s hard to believe that “it all started with a mouse”. Here are some of my favorite Mickey Mouse quotes:

“I’ll be right beside you, because we’re friends.”

Me and Mickey go way back :)

Me and Mickey go way back 🙂

“Your darkness belongs to you, just the same way your light does…”

Bad guys beware...

Bad guys beware…

“Don’t worry, Minnie. You’re all the music I’ll ever need.”

A love story as old as time

“To Laugh At Yourself Is To Love Yourself.”

Mickey's laugh is the best :D

Mickey’s laugh is the best 😀

“Don’t Stress Over Anything You Can’t Change.”

Mickey smiles through everything :)

My Road to Run Disney: new found perspective

Hey there!  How’s it going? As some of you may know, I’ve been in the process of training for my first RunDisney race. My inaugural race was supposed to be the Tinker bell Half marathon that happened over this pass weekend.

One day I will have one of these :)

One day I will have one of these 🙂

Unfortunately, I was unable to participate and to be honest my training wasn’t going the way I originally planned. Between school, work, and rehearsals I wasn’t able to get out there and hit the ground running like I’d hope. At first I was being really hard on myself for not being able to get into the race. But then I remember wise words from my favorite Blue Fish Just Keep Swimming . I realized that my RunDisney journey is far from over and with registration for the Disney half coming up anything can happen. Who knows, with this new found perspective I can go to infinity and beyond  ! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you real soon ( and at the finish line!)  🙂

Wordy Wednesday: Dig A Little Deeper

Hey there! How’s it going? It’s Wednesday! Which means we are almost through the week 🙂 I don’t know about you, but for me, that usually means the days seem to move slower towards the weekend. I have to keep reminding myself that “I’m almost there I’m almost there. There’s been trials and tribulations, but I’m almost there” Sometimes if things get to hectic and I feel like I just want to scream,

Have you ever had "one of those days"?

Have you ever had “one of those days”?

I like to escape to a place In the South Land, way down on the river to help remind me to  I have to dig a little deeper to find out what I need 🙂

“You sure this is the right blind voodoo lady who lives in the boat in the tree in the bayou?” “Pretty sure”

“I am Naveen, Prince of Maldonia, and she is Tiana, the waitress….Do not kiss her.”

“There is no way I’m kissing a frog and eating a bug in the same day.”

“Who would’ve thought the prince had a younger brother. How old did you say you were?” “I’m six-and-a-half.” “Well… I waited this long.”

images-4

“I FOUND A STIIICKK!!”

“Dig down deep inside yourself. You’ll find out what you need. Blue skies and sunshine guaranteed.”

Friday 5Day: Five of my favorite Disney Superheroes

In honor of Iron Man 3 being released today, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite Superheroes with you. Whether they have superhuman strength, or they fly through the skies. These guys and gals all help to make their world a better place. And for that, I think they’re pretty Super. Here (in no particular order) are 5 of my favorite Disney Superheroes:

The Incredibles and Frozone

I know that’s basically more than one superhero but I love these guys

Darkwing Duck

Inspector Gadget

Though he's not an original Disney character, it’s hard not to love Inspector Gadget. He’s A man with a big heart filled with love, and a grappling hook, and well you get what I mean ;)

Planes and Change Oh My!

This summer, from the world “above” Cars comes the high flying 3D adventure Planes. Planes is about a little propeller plane named Dusty who has dreams of becoming an air racer. But there’s a little problem…. he’s afraid of heights. Planes was originally slatted for a Spring 2013 DVD release with Jon Cryer as the voice Dusty, however there’s been a little change in destination. Disney just released a teaser trailer with Dane Cook as the voice of the little plane that could and will take off in theaters this summer on August 9th.

Do you think the film could take flight? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you real soon 🙂
