Once Upon a Time Season 4 Episode 13 Recap (Spoilers)

Hey there! How’s it going? Once Upon a Time is back! The second half of the 4th season premiered tonight! Here’s a quick recap:

The episode starts off with a quick flashback to the Forbidden Fortress where Rumple first assembles Ursula, Maleficent, and Cruella De Vil to get their happy endings.

Queens of Darkness

Then, we flash forward to present day. In Storybrooke, the dust of previous events have started to settle and everyone is trying to get back to “normal”.  With his guilt hanging over him, Hook is looking for ways to get the fairies out of the hat with help from Belle and “magic boxes”.

The newly banish Rumple is now in New York City where he’s staying with Ursula as he tries to get the things needed to get their happy endings. He then recruits Curella and the villains set off on a road trip to Storybroke in Cruella’s awesome Car (complete with a hidden Mickey)

Back in StoryBrooke, Hook and Belle find a ritual to get the fairies out of the hat. Regina performs the ritual and frees the fairies , however, the ritual has also released a black smoke which reveals that the fairies were not the only ones inside the hat-prison. As the smoke rises to the sky, it changes into the chernabog. (The big scary winged monster from Fantasmic)

Back in the flashback mode, Rumple uses the girls to retrieve a curse that’s hidden in a cave by using their talents (IE Cruella’s ability to talk to animals, Maleifecents fire breathing Ursala’s tentacles).  They get through the booby traps with ease. But in Indiana Jones fashion, after the curse is removed from its pedestal, it causes the cave to shake. As the ladies try to catch their bearings thy look to see Rumple about to leave the cave and leave them behind. Not only did he need their talents to retrieve the curse, but after the curse is removed, it causes its guardian  (the chernabog from the hat) to reveal himself. He then finds those with the potential for the most evil and eats them.

Flash forward to present day, Regina asks Blue to help her fond the sorcerer to get her happy ending. Blue reveals that the author is the one that can help her get her Happy Ending. Their conversation was cut short, due to the chernabog “messing up property value” perching himself on top of the library.

Rumple sets his plan further into action by having Ursula call Regina to tell her a way to defeat the evil creature, in turn for entry into Storybrooke. With the demon roaring in the background, Regina agrees.

Emma and Regina defeat the chernabog and grant Ursula and Creulla entry into Storybook, much to the dismay of Charming and Snow. The ladies drive into StoryBrooke and kickoff Rumple’s operation “Happy Endings”

Later that evening, Ursula and Cruella let Rumple back into Storybrooke and he lays out the final steps of his plans. He reveals that Maleficent is not “entirely” dead… And how the chernabog was not after Regina…. But after Emma.

At the end of the episode we have a late night meeting in the woods with Ursula and Cruella and Snow and Charming. After (pleasant?)ries, It becomes clear that these four have some history from their Enchanted Forest days. Snow makes a (threat) promise to rip out their hearts herself if either one of them cause any trouble (or make mention of their past) .

Friday 5day: Dapper Day

Hey there! How’s it going? In honor of Dapper Day at Disneyland this weekend, I thought I’d share five of my favorite things about Dapper Day! So in no particular order, here are some of my favorites:

1. Going with my friend Ajackieo! This was the first time either one of us had participated in Dapper Day, and we had a blast! If you want to join in on the fun you can watch our Dapper Day Vlog here 🙂

2. My dress. The dress that I wore for Dapper day was such much fun to wear! When I participated in Dapper Day, the weather  was quite warm, so this dress was perfect!

Wearing this dress made me feel like a Dapper Princess :)

3. The Dapper Dans. This was my first time seeing the Dapper Dans! I was so excited because going to Dapper Day and seeing the Dapper Dans were both on my “Disney Bucket List”. Being able to do both on the same day was extra special.

4. Seeing everyone dressed up to the nine’s. Everyone looked amazing! Seeing everyone’s different take on Dapper Day was such a treat.

5. The activities that the Dapper Day organization plans. Not only do the lovely folks over at Dapper Day plan an amazing day for everyone, but they also have events that bring everyone together and make a Dapper Day community. There’s the ride on the Mark Twain, and the “Dapper Derby” on the Carousel.

Feeling fancy on the Mark Twain :)

and now they even have the Dapper Day Expo, which is a “marketplace” featuring all things dapper.

Have you been to Dapper Day? How was your experience? Let me know in the comments below! Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you real soon 🙂

Wordy Wednesday: Catching Up

Hey there how’s it going? I’m back! How have you been?  I apologize for my long delay and a lack of an explanation. I started school and I was completely swamped with tests, and homework. But now I’m ready to jump back into the wonderful world of Disney!

First off, a huge congrats to The Walt Disney Company on their two Oscar wins this past Sunday! I think it’s great that two years in a row Disney was able to was able to win Academy Awards . Maybe next year they can make it three years running with a win for best animated feature for Disney/Pixar’s new film Inside Out?

Whoo Hoo!!

                       Future Oscar winner?

Future Oscar winner?

Also, who’s ready for the 60th Anniversary of Disneyland! I’m so excited for the Anniversary and all the magical things that are being planned! Personally, I’m looking forward to the World of Color- Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Disney. I remember being able to go to the parks during the 50th Anniversary and how magical the parks were. Are you planning on spending the 60th Anniversary down at the Parks? What are you most looking forward to?

Mickey and Minnie are all dolled up and ready to go

In other park news, I’m sure you’ve heard about the ticket increases coming to park tickets. Adult ticket prices now being $99 and children 3-9 tickets now being $93. This comes after last years raised ticket prices right before Memorial Day. What are your thoughts on the new prices? Do you think it’s crazy or understandable with the increase of the parks?

I hope you’ve been well and I’ve enjoyed catching up with you. Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you real soon 🙂

My Road to Run Disney: new found perspective

Hey there!  How’s it going? As some of you may know, I’ve been in the process of training for my first RunDisney race. My inaugural race was supposed to be the Tinker bell Half marathon that happened over this pass weekend.

One day I will have one of these :)

One day I will have one of these 🙂

Unfortunately, I was unable to participate and to be honest my training wasn’t going the way I originally planned. Between school, work, and rehearsals I wasn’t able to get out there and hit the ground running like I’d hope. At first I was being really hard on myself for not being able to get into the race. But then I remember wise words from my favorite Blue Fish Just Keep Swimming . I realized that my RunDisney journey is far from over and with registration for the Disney half coming up anything can happen. Who knows, with this new found perspective I can go to infinity and beyond  ! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you real soon ( and at the finish line!)  🙂

Festival of Fantasy Preview and Frozen the Musical

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season 🙂  What better way to get this new year started than with a sneak peak of the floats that will be in the upcoming Festival of Fantasy parade?! The folks over at the The Disney parks blog shared these awesome pictures of the  steam-punk  inspired  Maleficent float that will be ferociously flying through the streets in the newest parade over at the Magic Kingdom.  Check it out!

The “Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade” is making it’s debut this spring! Who else is excited to see Maleficent in person?!

As the Magic Kingdom heats up, Disney’s animated film Frozen is keeping things cool this week.  Not only did the film take home the Golden Globe for Best Animated Film, it looks like Frozen is heading to Broadway!

What are your thoughts on Frozen heading to Braodway?

What are your thoughts on Frozen heading to Braodway?

Walt Disney CEO and chairman Bob Iger has confirmed that Disney is getting ready to make the Great White Way as white as snow ( or more snow thanks to the Polar Vortex) No time frame has been set for the opening of the show, but with success of the movies soundtrack and the amazing musical talents attached to the film (Idina Menzel anyone?) there is no doubt that the musical will be a snow-stopper 😉

Are you excited for the parade? Frozen the musical? Both? Let me know in the comments below 🙂

Thanks for stoping by and I’ll see you real soon 🙂

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort 2013

My Road to RunDisney: A Different Kind of Marathon

Hey There! How’s it going? Long time no see and I apologize for that. It’s not on purpose though, that wonderful time of the year has started for me again…Back to School. ( dun dun dun) But I’m loving every minute of it (minus the part where I don’t get to post very often)

I’m in school for musical theater so my days are full of singing and dancing my little heart out. Not only am I in school right now,  but I’m also in a production of Joe Turner’s Come and Gone by August Wilson and we open October 10th! It’s such a wonderful play and I’m having a blast with my company!

As you can imagine I haven’t had a lot of time to dedicate to my RunDisney training. But as I was realizing that I haven’t been able to go out there and pound the pavement, I’m still training for the marathon right now. I’m training my focus, by memorizing lines and being able to be “present” during those long rehearsals. Plus, dancing has been building my strength and endurance. I mean the conditioning  itself is enough to get my body in shape for running the race ( if I don’t have some sort of a six pack by the end of the semester I’m going to be kinda sad).

Now that I think about it, I’m actually in a marathon right now. I’m moving forward with my goal, I have wonderful people around me helping get there, and no matter what may happen or obstacles that may pop up we always have are eye on the finish line. So I am still in the race, it’s just a different kind of marathon

Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you real soon 🙂

P.S ( if your in the L.A Area and would like more information about the play I’m in you can click here )

Hey There! How’s it going?  Have you ever tried to capture the magic of Disney even when you’re away from the Parks? That feeling  you get when walking down Main Street? The excitement of knowing that soon you are going to a Disney Park? Seeing old friends that you’ve grown up with for the first time? Here are a few videos I would like to share that I feel capture some of the Disney Magic 🙂
